First dispatch from the desert

Frontier is the American southwest at its best hour — the twenty minutes before the light goes. The shop leans two ways. Modern boho: abstract arches, a crescent moon, saguaros reduced to shapes against a burnt-orange sky, the palette that lives comfortably with terracotta and raw linen. And the older kind: 1970s-style desert posters and vintage cowboy scenes with dust in them. The abstract pieces are the easy ones to live with — a bedroom, a hallway, anywhere the walls are already warm. The cowboy prints want to be the loudest thing in the room, and they are welcome to it.
